Our Story
Where Love, Legacy, and Caregiving Meet
Aunty Da’s House was born from a journey I never expected to walk — a journey that began long before I had the language to name it. It began with my mother.
My mother has always been a steady, prayerful, deeply rooted woman. The kind of woman who raised her children with honesty, strength, and a quiet dignity that filled every room she entered. She taught me how to love people well, how to stand firm in faith, and how to show up with integrity even when life feels heavy.
Years later, when her memory began to shift and her needs grew, our roles changed in ways neither of us could have imagined. I became her caregiver — not out of obligation, but out of the same love she poured into me my entire life.
Caregiving is not a straight line.
It is tender and exhausting.
Holy and heartbreaking.
Beautiful and bewildering.
Some days, it feels like holding the world together with your bare hands. Other days, it feels like sitting in the quiet with someone you love and realizing that presence is its own kind of miracle.
Through this journey, my mother and I have learned each other all over again.
We’ve laughed in hospital rooms.
We’ve cried in parking lots.
We’ve prayed through confusion, fear, and the unknown.
We’ve held onto each other in the moments when everything felt like too much.
And somewhere in the middle of all of it, I realized something:
Caregivers need a place to be seen too.
A place to breathe.
A place to rest.
A place to feel understood without having to explain every detail.
A place where the emotional weight of caregiving is honored, not hidden.
That place became Aunty Da’s House — a home for caregivers, daughters, sons, aunties, uncles, friends, and anyone walking the sacred path of caring for someone they love.
This is our story.
A story of resilience, tenderness, and generational love.
A story of a mother and daughter learning to navigate a new season with grace and honesty.
A story that reminds every caregiver:
You are not alone.
Your heart matters here.
And your story deserves to be held with care.
Welcome to Aunty Da’s House.
Welcome to a community built from love, lived experience, and the belief that even in the hardest moments, there is beauty worth holding onto.
